Trendy Necklaces

This is the style of necklace we learned how to make at the "Trends" class on my birthday...beads knotted on silk cord. They are fun to make. I've made a few recently and these two became gifts.

It's a Bracelet

This is definately the smallest knitting project I have completed. The needles used are size 0000! The pattern is from Giralte Gems and Beads (www.giraltegemsandbeads.com) in Cedarburg, WI.

Do It Your Own D*mn Self!

We went to Do It Your Own D*mn Self (http://www.chicagocraftmafia.com/DIYODS/index.htm) today. It was great! What a wonderful opportunity to purchase craft supplies from other Chicago crafters. This was the first one and I hope they will do it again and again! I think it was a big hit! Here are my goodies!

Milwaukee and Cedarburg

We went on a roadtrip this past weekend to Milwaukee and historic Cedarburg, WI (http://www.cedarburg.org/). Here are some highlights.

We ate Jason's favorite ice cream from his days living in Milwaukee.

We went to the quilt museum, only to find it closed - during open hours. I wasn't very happy.

Each morning, we went to the public market for breakfast. The baked goods were so yummy.

On Sunday, we found the Paper Boat Boutique (http://www.paperboatboutique.com/) and bought Handmade Nation (http://indiecraftdocumentary.blogspot.com/) from the author! It was very exciting! In April, we are going to the screening in Chicago.
We saw a skunk by the side of the road! Stinky!
And, on the way home we stopped at the Mars Cheese Castle. I know, it doesn' t look like much, but you wouldn't believe the people who pull off the highway to see this place! It is really something!

Not Sad

I've glued together the cupcake. It needs a day to cure. There may be a slight crack, but it's all together.

And the glove will live again, with a few fixes to make it the right length for my girl.

Little catastrophes that surprise, but everything can be fixed. It will be all the better.
