We finished our first sock! Next week we'll learn how to knit toe up on a circular needle.

Special Birthday Treat

Jason's mom took us out to eat for my birthday dinner tonight and she brought a special treat.  She waited in line at the Doughnut Vault this morning!  Here are the doughnuts she brought.

We knew they would be delicious because we waited in line for them a few months ago.  Yum!

Homemade Birthday Gift

I received a special birthday gift in the mail...a beautiful robe made by my mom! I love it!

Projects for Baby

I've been busy crafting for Jenny and Josh's baby, but I wanted it to be a surprise so I haven't been able to post pictures until now.  Jenny is in Chicago this weekend so my parents also visited and we gave her some gifts for the baby.  Here are the items that I made:

Wool felt baby booties

A reversible pinafore dress

Crocheted pacifier clips

Zippered pouches for carrying baby necessities

Two pillows for the baby's nursery (these aren't done yet, but I showed her so she knows they will be on the way)

A knit baby bunting

My mom and I worked on this quilt together when I was in Michigan for a weekend this summer
